Is adamantine a ferrous metal? If adamantine is a unique, rare and precious metal it wouldn't contain iron, and thus wouldn't be affected by rust monsters. Is adamantine corroded by the oozes? If is is a naturally occuring metal, it seems it would be nonmagical and be affected by the oozes, based on the effect description in the monster's manual. WGtE references that adamantine is a rare metal found in meteroties or extraordinary mineral veins, so lore-wise it is a natural metal completely separate from Adamantium? I have found the reddit community to be a great help as I work to learn more about D&D, and I hope you can help me to understand better how adamantine items work in 5e. ![]() ![]() I am new to D&D, and this is my first post on reddit.
